Scott Allen, Best and Fairest in 2000,
coached the Crocs in his last season. We started rather
slow and by summer break it seemed like it was going to
be the first season where the Crocs wouldn't make the finals.
After summer break we played the undefeated Århus
Bombers in Svendborg. It was going to be epic. We beat the
favourites so hard, they didn't win another match for the
season. And the party after the match - well, what happens
on the road, stays on the road! We actually won all our
matches after summer break, but for the first time in DAFL-history,
a team with six wins failed to make the finals, and it was
the Crocs...
The 2001-season also saw the inaugural Atlantic Alliance
Cup, a tournament where the national teams from Canada,
Denmark, Ireland, UK and USA would play each other. Four
Crocs were on the Danish national team, Franz Gottschalk,
Ole Skov, Brian Hagensen and Daniel Reinert. Denmark lost
the Grand Final to Ireland.
